Maintenance
DuPont™ Corian®
- For daily cleaning, rinse the surface with warm water and wipe dry with a soft cloth.
- When dealing with particularly stubborn dirt use a damp cloth and a slightly abrasive cream (e.g. Cif, JIF Active).
- Even though the liquids cannot penetrate Corian® it is best to remove them immediately.
- Always clean using a circular movement.
- If a stain needs further attention, use an abrasive sponge (such as Scotch-Brite®) progressively as well as a common detergent or an ammonia-based solution for cleaning surfaces (e.g. Mastro Lindo, Mr. Muscle).
- Only when particularly stubborn stains or a significant scratch is involved may an abrasive sponge be used with bleach, being careful to rinse a number of times with copious amounts of hot water, and dry with a soft cloth.
- In order to restore the original appearance, wipe the entire surface of the shelf with a damp cloth and a slightly abrasive cream, using circular movements.
