Repairability and other warnings
Reparability information
To help preserve the product over time and extend its useful life, B&B Italia supports, where technically feasible, the maintenance, repair and replacement of product components through its Customer Service department and network of authorised dealers.
How to Request Assistance
For information about product repairability, the availability of spare parts, the cost of any required work or the applicable service procedures, please contact B&B Italia Customer Service. Each request will be assessed on a case-by-case basis to identify the most appropriate solution, taking into account the specific characteristics and condition of the product.
Maintenance
Proper maintenance helps preserve the product’s quality, functionality and appearance over time.
Please follow the use and maintenance instructions provided by B&B Italia. Any maintenance or repair work must be carried out exclusively through service channels authorised by B&B Italia.
- Always remember to be careful not to use the product improperly, considering its designated functions.
- When the product is no longer used, do not abandon it, but take it to a suitable public waste collection facility.
This product sheet complies with the legal obligations pursuant to the "Consumer Code" Decree n. 206 dated 6/9/2005 and the "Actuation Regulation" Decree n. 101 dated 8/2/1997.

- For regular cleaning, we recommend a weekly dusting with a soft cotton cloth. If the cover is stained, promptly remove the cause and dry the affected area.
- Finally, wipe with a sponge dampened with water and mild detergent (or water and milk).
- Wipe with a gentle circular motion and work from the outside of the stain toward the inside.
- The action should be more like a skin massage than mechanical rubbing.
- Before applying any product over broad areas, it is advisable to test the effectiveness of the procedure by applying the product on a small, hidden area, even though the product may be specifically designed for the material.
- After cleaning, apply a solution of water and milk to restore the protective qualities and softness of the leather.
- Remember that leather treated with aniline is highly absorbent and may require more frequent cleaning when subjected to heavy-duty use in high-traffic areas.
- Two or three times a year, we recommend applying products included in the 'Kit for leather maintenance and cleaning' by B&B Italia (code SETPN) using a soft cloth. The kit is available from our Stores and dealers.
Steel
- We advise using normal commercial products for cleaning delicate surfaces and/or warm water and neutral soap.
- Never use abrasives or products containing solvents, ammonia and/or alcohol.
- Make sure to dry the surfaces completely after washing.

Designer
The founders have a strong interest in nature and natural materials, and their expertise in transforming these enables them to realise projects that are both emotional and artisanal. The three founders are architects, designers and boat constructors, all members of the Swiss Federation of Architects FAS. Between 2008 and 2016 they directed the Swiss Federal Prize of Design as President of the Federal Commission for Design. Educated at the architecture school funded by Alberto Sartoris in Switzerland, the founders further received honorary doctorates from the institution. atelier oï fosters experimentation and cultural exchange, through their work with clients as well as their own initiatives, and as visiting professors in a number of leading institutions.
The combination of local roots and international know-how has enabled atelier oï to design for a broad variety of national and international clients including B&B Italia. Their projects have been recognised globally, with some of the most renowned awards including IF Design Awards, Europan 3, European Museum of the Year, Red Dot award, and Product of the Year from Architectural Record.
