    Maintenance
    Cover
    • For home washing of covers, follow the symbols on the technical sheet that came with the product.
    • Periodically adjust the Velcro fasteners to remove folds and creases due to normal use of the product.
    • If there are no Velcro fasteners, smooth the cover manually from the inside towards the outside.
    • For ordinary cleaning, dust with a soft dry cotton cloth.
    • If liquids should accidentally fall on the surface, remove them immediately and dry with paper towels.
    • The surface can then be cleaned with a white cotton or microfibre cloth, slightly damp with water and neutral soap, and then dried in a well-ventilated place.
    • In case of stains, act immediately to blot the stain with a clean white cloth and, if necessary, remove the dirt with a spoon or knife, using the flat part horizontally and being very careful to not ruin the cover.
    • Dab the stain from the outer edges inward to avoid rings.
    • All actions must be done with circular movements, without exerting excessive mechanical pressure.
    • Our Stores and dealers sell the specific 'Kit for leather maintenance and cleaning' by B&B Italia (code SETPN), which contains products suitable for the protection and cleaning of your leather product.

    Upholstery
    • Manually punch the cushions on all sides, fluff them up to air the padding and restore the original volume.
    • For best results, remove the cushion covers regularly, knead and fluff up the padding, and air it possibly outdoors before slipping on the cover once again.
    • If possible, periodically change the position of the most used cushions with the less used ones.

    Plastic material - Thermoplastic material
    • We advise using normal commercial products for cleaning delicate surfaces and/or warm water and neutral soap.
    • Never use abrasives or products containing solvents, ammonia and/or alcohol.
    • Make sure to dry the surfaces completely after washing.

    Wood - Painting
    • For weekly maintenance, dust the surface with a dry cloth.
    • For dried dirt, use a well-squeezed out cloth, damp with warm water.
    • For greasy or oily dirt, use a damp sponge and dish washing detergent, and then wipe with a well-squeezed out cloth damp with warm water.
    • Warning! Apply the detergent directly on the damp sponge, and never on directly on the furniture.
    • Do not exert excessive pressure and always follow the grain on wood furniture.
    • Note that if you press or rub too hard, surfaces can become 'polished'.
    • Avoid using abrasives and products containing solvents, ammonia and/or alcohol.
    • Make sure to dry the surfaces completely after washing.

    Aluminium
    • We advise using normal commercial products for cleaning delicate surfaces and/or warm water and neutral soap.

    Warranty
    B&B Italia guarantees the frame of its padded furniture (sofas, armchairs, chairs and beds) for 10 years from the date of manufacture (as stated on the "Product data sheet - Guarantee"). These products are covered by the warranty against original defects in manufacturing of the structural parts consisting of the iron frame wrapped in cold foamed polyurethane. B&B Italia guarantees the cover, the feet, the materials, accessories and mechanisms making up the product for 26 months from the date of manufacture (as stated on the "Product data sheet - Guarantee") against any manufacturing defect including lacquering and frame of non-upholstery products. In any case, it has to be pointed out that the materials, even if adequately lightfast to sunlight and artificial light, may be subject to alterations over time due to prolonged exposure to light, washing and ordinary mechanical wear.   The guarantee refers to original product manufacturing defects and consists of replacement or repair, free of charge, of the unusable or defective parts, ascertained and acknowledged as such by B&B Italia or its representative. The guarantee does not cover anomalies and spoilage due to:

This provision also applies to those products that are designed to be installed directly by the consumer, in the presence of correct and exhaustive instructions. The guarantee shall be forfeited if the products are unassembled, modified or repaired by anyone who is not authorised by B&B Italia. Any intervention made in guarantee does not interrupt the course thereof. To exercise the rights deriving from this guarantee, the relevant "Product data sheet - Guarantee" shall be forwarded to B&B Italia (to the address stated below) bearing the date of manufacture; said "Product data sheet - Guarantee" shall therefore be retained for the entire period during which the guarantee is valid.   B&B Italia S.p.A. 22060 Novedrate (CO) Italy, Strada Provinciale 32 n.15   For the purpose of better preserving the product over time it is recommended:
    • not to jump or sit on the overhanging parts, the backrests and the armrests;

    • to protect the product against shocks and contact with pointed and sharp elements and liquids or detergents containing corrosive agents;
    • to follow the care instructions listed in the specific section of the material enclosed with the product.
